Could be a diesel thing? Definitely aftermarket, but I know you could get one of these for the Duramax as well

It’s a “Banks” ram air intake. Actually a really high quality design with a baffle in it to keep water and mud out of the filter. They make kits for all of the big 3's diesels

Not a good spot for an air intake... Why doesn’t people use over the radiator intakes like GTO guys use? It should be more popular.

I wish! Mine isn’t supercharged... Yet at least. I have some more suspension mods to do first.
